Description of Origin of Change Key Icons

USP-NF is revised continuously. However, more frequent revisions occur through one of USP's Accelerated Revision processes: Errata, Interim Revision Announcements (IRAs), Revision Bulletins, and Harmonization. Notices of these revisions are posted in the new USP-NF/PF Online without you requiring to go to other USP sites. These revisions to an existing document supersede the official text and are indicated by the following key icons:

The icons below indicate the origin of change.

RB Revision Bulletin
IRA Interim Revision Announcements
E Errata
H Harmonization


Note
: Icons appear for general chapter, monographs, and reagents documents, and only appear when the standard contains recent revisions of the type indicated by the letters in the icon. For more information on these revision types, please see the page on revision definitions here. An example of a document showing a "Revision Bulletin" update in a search result is shown below:

Note: You can also use the accelerated revisions search facets to filter your result to see the revision document type of your choosing.
To access Accelerated Revision documents in USP-NF/PF Online:

1. Click the START HERE link in the Navigation Bar and then choose New and Changed menu option.

A list of new and changed documents is displayed. An example is shown below:

2. Select the Additional Filters dropdown.

3. Filter the list by using the accelerated revision search facets. An example is shown below:

4. Click the title of the search result to view the updated content of the document.
